PRESIDENT Edgar Lungu says government will do everything possible to ensure that challenges that people are facing in the mobile issuance of national registration cards (NRC) and voter registration exercise are addressed.

Speaking when he met chiefs Mukobela and Chikanta President Lungu said he will instruct the ministries involved in the exercise to ensure that no challenges are faced.



Agriculture Minister Given Lubinda said Government has instituted measures to reduce the prices of fertiliser.
Mr Lubinda said once the right interventions are put in place, farmers, especially at small-scale level, will start benefiting from cheaper fertiliser.

He said Government has over the years planned to implement the e-voucher system under the FISP but the plans never materialised until President Lungu assumed office.

Lusaka District Commissioner Davison Mulenga says reports that his office is giving out National Registration Cards to foreigners to vote in 2016 are baseless.
