An electoral expert has accused the ruling
Patriotic Front PF of engaging in early campaigns
in constituencies which where recently nullified by
the courts of law.
McDonald Chipenzi says the recent donations of
computers at a named school in Nalolo constituency
by Vice president Inonge Wina is a clear indication
that the PF have started campaigning.
Mr. Chipenzi also cited the donation of buses by
president Edgar Lungu in Bauleni within Lusaka
central constituency as another example.
He has further questioned the recent donation of
assorted items by first lady Ester Lungu at the
University Teaching Hospital were she had allegedly
asked women to vote for Ms. Mwanakatwe in an event
of a by election.
Mr. Chipenzi has since described the donations as
political blackmail which are smelling corruption.
Meanwhile Mr. Chipezi has asked the Electoral
Commission of Zambia ECZ to tell other parties
whether campaigns have started or not so that they
can as well start organizing themselves.
He says it is unfortunate that others are freely
moving in and out of the constituencies that were
recently nullified while others are being denied
the same opportunity on account of the Public order
